Comment:
This video is about grammar. The speaker taught us this grammar while he was in a fire escape. He told us the third conditional is use for a past situation that didn't happen. Then,he made  a sentence"if I had paid attention, I wouldn't have got lost .If I hadn't got lost, I wouldn't have found this number three."I think it is a common grammar that we can use in our daily lives.

The key to success

The orator talks about her working experience related to her research. I think it's a great way to convince us that grit is an important element of success.
I agree with what she said about grit is the key to success. Following is my reason, grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals. If we don't have passion, we couldn't keep doing whatever I should do, and then, we won't succeed. However, if we don't persist and just do it for fun, it couldn't be certainly successful. Therefore, I think they're two of the most important factors to success.

The song interests me

Lyrics:
What do you mean?
Oooh When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean? Heeey
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time
What do you mean?
Oh oh oh What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?
You’re so indecisive of what I’m saying Trying to catch the beat, make up your heart.
Don't know if you're happy, or complaining.
Don’t want for us to end where do I start First you wanna go to the left and you want to turn right Wanna argue all day, making love all night.
First you up and you’re down and then between
Ohh I really want to know…
What do you mean?
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
When you don't want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time
What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?
You’re overprotective when I’m leaving Trying to compromise but I can’t win
You wanna make a point but you keep preaching
You had me from the start won’t let this end
First you wanna go to the left then you want to turn right
Wanna argue all day make love all night
First you up and you’re down then you're between
Ohh I really want to know…
What do you mean?
Ooh.. When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no.
What do you mean? (oh what do you mean)
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
I wanna know
Oh what do you mean?
(Ooh) Said you’re running out of time
What do you mean? (ah baby)
Oh oh oh what do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?
When you nod your head yes, but you wanna say no
What do you mean? (You're so confusing baby)
Heyyy, when you don't want me to move,
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we're running out of time
What do you mean?
Oh oh oh what do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?

My comments:
The song is Justine written for his ex-girlfriend,Selena.
I think the melody is brisk and the words reveal Justine's feeling to Selena.
It's a really cool song and  I very like it.

Assignment#5

Although I usually use google to search information, do my assignment or seek something interesting, I never heard about Google syntax.Definitely, I never use it before.Owing to the teacher's introduction, I just knew this practical and useful function. With this syntax, I can save more time to acquire something what I want and get the information even more exactly.I wasted a lot of time to search information and also got nothing I can use. In the future, I think I will use it much frequently and it is really good tool.

My thoughts and new findings on ESL Cyber Listening Lab

After taking the class on Tuesday, I think I acquired much interesting and useful information.First of all, I learned some foreigner's oral communication.Although it is difficult to understand completely, I reckon that if I practiced it more, I can conquer it and my listening ability would progress someday in the future.Second, I can learn a few foreign accent all over the world on this website.Last but not least, I can also learn quite a few vocabularies which I don't know before.I can understand how to use the words in a complete sentence. With this wonderful website and teacher's hard working, I think I can study happily and learn well in class.
